I GOT A NEW CAR!!!! FINALLY!!!!! We bought it Friday night. When I woke up on Friday morning, I was definitely NOT expecting all this. I LOVE the new Jetta & I'm very glad to be rid of the problem Passat.

10/9/08

Nothing too much to report today! This week has been fairly slow at the office. Both bosses are out. A quiet week at work is always welcome! I'm so glad the weather has started to cool off. Too bad it's going to warm up some for this weekend's game. We're headed down to CS again, and I believe that the high is supposed to be around 86. Bummer... I'm really ready for a game where I can wear jeans & a hoodie! Guess I have a little while to go for that one...

We're going to buy a pumpkin this year! This will be our first year to do so. We always decorate for Christmas, but now that we're in a house we're going to do it for Halloween. We hope to get lots of kids come to trick or treat! I'll definitely have pics of our pumpkin after we carve it.

Like I said, not much to update about. We'll be seeing our friends this weekend in town from San Antonio, so I'm sure I'll have some fun stories then!

Perfect.

That is what my weekend was. Let's recap.

On Friday, Taylor was sick & home from work. Poor thing still can't breathe out of his nose & it's now draining into his chest! I went in a little early so I could get home to him a little early. We took it easy all evening mostly just laying in bed watching movies. I know he needed that down time, and I sure enjoyed it.

Saturday ended up being quite busy! We slept in and then decided that we really needed to go get the Passat inspected. Long story short, it took about 3 hours to get it all done. We definitely weren't planning on that to take up our whole afternoon, but it all worked out. We needed to go get Kahlua a new light for his tank. However, the Petco that we stopped at was sold out. How on earth do they sell out of aquarium lights? So, poor Kahlula will just have to wait until we get home from Walmart tonight!

Saturday night we went over to Jennifer & Jason's. It was a blast! I was so excited to get to hang out with her FINALLY! This girl is one of my absolute best friends, but we hadn't had the chance to see each other in so long. I met a friend of hers, her sister in law, and a bunch of guys...brothers in law & friends. We girls spent the entire evening out on the back patio talking & drinking. I definitely heard some good stories! I think we spent the entire night laughing. I'm really looking forward to the next time. Taylor had a really good time too! The guys stayed inside mostly watching UFC & playing poker. I'm glad he finally got to meet Jason. He really liked everyone, and is also looking forward to the next get together.

I think part of the reason that we had so much fun is because the people we were hanging out with "get it". True, they have kids & we don't, but we're all in the same part of life in a lot of ways. They get it when it comes to married life and responsibilities. They get it when I talk about money/bills, grocery coupons, or my husband being sick & I need to take care of him. That's not all we talk about of course, but it is really great to have friends who completely understand. I feel very lucky!

So and then there is yesterday... I did not get out of my pj's all day yesterday. It was wonderful! We watched movies all day (thanks to HBO & the other movie channels), watched the Cowboy game, and Taylor made his delish chili.

We'll be down in College Station on Saturday next weekend for a game. We'll see how that goes, but before that we have to get through another work week. It should be a fairly quiet one. I'm looking forward to catching up on a few things!

This week has been CRAAAAAAAAZY. I had 1 and a half days to get payroll done. Yikes. I did it though! I'm so awesome. ;)

I've been on these cleaning & organizing rampages lately.

I love vacuuming.

I love cleaning the glass coffee table top.

I love fluffing the couch pillows.
(see...we have pillows...not cushions)

I finally did something with the random box that is still sitting in our bedroom from when we moved. (I covered it with a navy blue sheet & put pictures on it. It's actually very cute, and makes our room feel more....homey)

I clean the kitchen every morning when I leave & every evening before bed.

Oh! And I FINALLY put up my wall sconces in the hallway & this votive holder as a centerpiece on our table. I've had them since our wedding, and that was almost 11 months ago! Yeah, I'm bad. I know!

We'll see what house projects I find myself getting into this weekend! Speaking of, I'm excited about another weekend! The Aggies are on the road so we get to stay in town. I love going to the games, but I'm looking forward to a weekend around home. Saturday I'm really looking forward to hanging out with my friend Jennifer... my AWESOME friend who I haven't seen in AGES yet talk to everyday thanks to the wonderful invention of e-mail. It should be a fun, relaxing, nice one!

Monday is not so much a funday. I am so so so so so sleepy today! Maybe that's because sleep was not something I got much of this weekend. It was a College Station weekend, and that meant getting up early on Saturday morning to make it to kickoff at 2:30. The Ags didn't do so hot, but they showed some improvement so there is some hope! By the end of the game I was drained from sitting in the sun for 4 hours. I have a nice sunburn on my forehead & scalp. I'm sure that'll look pretty when it starts to peel! Yuck. I did not sleep good on Saturday night. Although, I never sleep good if there is anyone around except my family. It freaks me out and I feel all... uncomfortable. So what I'm saying is that I think I only got about 3 hours of sleep total on Saturday night. I definitely went to bed at 9:30 last night, but I'm still not all caught up. I definitely need my 8 hours every night!

My dad is going down to College Station with Taylor for this Saturday's game. I decided to sit this one out. They're just making it a day trip since it's an 11:00 game, so I'll have my husband back by Saturday evening. ;) I'm sure they could both use some guy time though. Dad still has Mom & my two sisters in the house, and Taylor has ME! I think they might need a break from all the estrogen!

This week should be pretty uneventful. It's an off week for me at the office. No payroll for a week and a half! That will give me some time to get caught up on this & that. I do need to get out one day at lunch & go return a shirt from NY&CO. I've decided I'm not buying anything other than their pants & button down shirts. All the other shirts are always too short!! I should have tried it on before I bought it. I HATE having to go back up to the mall to return things. It's so not exciting.

Not too much else to report today. Oh, I will just say that when it comes to rehemming pants... I suck!

That little precious face is the face of an escape artist! That puppy dog has left our yard the past 3 times we've let her and the others out. Obviously, we have found her each time, but I'm so afraid of one these days she really will get lost! I think she's more of a cat & has nine lives, but her lives are probably running out. Especially after her time she was lost the night before our wedding... but that's a whole other story...

Right after we moved into the house Presley escaped to go on what I call her "adventures". I really think she runs away out of curiosity. There are a lot of open lots in our neighborhood still. Maybe she likes to run out in the open? Who knows. Those first few times and these last times she's run off, as soon as she hears us calling her name she runs right up to us ready to go back home. Really it's like she just needed a little excitment in her life. Over the last couple months she was so good about going out to do her business & then coming right back to the door to come back in. I guess that was only a phase. I guess she's just not allowed in the backyard alone anymore!

About 7 hours is all that stands between me & the start of another weekend. Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE weekends? The work week should be 2 days & the weekend should be 5. Just my opinion. It's a football game weekend! That means road trippin' down to College Station bright & early tomorrow morning. As much fun as we have, I'll definitely be looking forward to relaxing at home on Sunday. The yard looks good. The house will be cleaned tonight. There's no work to bring home this weekend. Looks like Sunday all I'll have is some laundry & a lot of relaxing!
I'm sure I'll have some more pictures after tomorrow's fun. Until then here are a few from the last game!

As another weekend approaches...

Friday again. The weeks fly by. Hopefully time will slow down a little for the weekend. Hurricane Ike is supposed to show his ugly face on land sometime late tonight. My thoughts & prayers are definitely going out to those on the coast & in South Texas. I hope we do get a significant amount of rain here though. I love thunderstoms on the weekend! I was really hoping to be able to go and do something fun with the husband tonight before the storms arrived... you know... maybe one of our mall dates that we used to have, a high school football game, a movie; but that won't be happening. He'll be mowing our lawn tonight since it hasn't been done in like 2 weeks and it really needs to be done before we get more rain. Bummer. Maybe I'll pull weeds in our flower beds AGAIN since they grew back AGAIN. I'm ready for winter so the grass will die.

I bought a really cute yard sign...thing... for our house. It's a scarecrow holding a sign that says "Welcome to My Country Home". I took a picture of it with my phone, but I changed my rate plan & now I can't send picture messages. I can't figure out how to get it back either!! Just take my word for it. It's cute. Although it's not technically Fall until the 22nd, I couldn't wait to put out my decorations. I love them.

I shared most of this with you already, but if you have not read it you must go read Taylor's blog. http://musingsbymoose.blogspot.com Yesterday was the 7th anniversary of 9/11, and he posted an entry that I think is very moving. Taylor has a way with words that I cannot describe!

Nonsense

My husband is begging for an update.... like he doesn't already know what's going on in my life!!

Let's see...run down on the weekend...

Friday - nap time after work, late night grocery shopping (oh how I had missed those trips!), and up until almost 3AM watching That 70s Show.

Saturday - slept in, cleaned up the house, finished getting the food ready, my parents & sister came over for the game, AGGIES WON!, nice "leisurely stroll" around the neighborhood, 8 Seconds on TV, best night of sleep

Sunday- slept in again (I like to do that), lunch & shopping with Jenna, home to do laundry & enjoy my Sunday evening with my favorite person ever

Now it's Monday again. I'm really hoping this day goes by quick! I am also hoping today is better than Friday. Friday was one of those days where it seemed like I was getting hit right & left with stuff! I prefer my days to run smooth & routine. Anywho, enough about that stuff! We're heading out to Grapevine Mills after work to take advantage of that Steve & Barry's store closing. Supposedly they have team shirts & such cheap, cheap, cheap! We have to stock up for the rest of our trips down to College Station for football season... like we don't already have enough, but how can we pass up $4 t-shirts??? Look forward to me sharing our findings!

So I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that I'm married to the greatest cook ever. I'm going to mention it again. He made his brisket & bbq sauce on Saturday. It was DELISH. We have left overs & I cannot wait to eat them tonight!

Could not be more accurate!

COUNTRY 'N' MODERN
It sounds unlikely, but rural properties are amazingly adaptable to a modern style - as your home proves. The country-meets-modern look relies on natural materials and, very often, the immediate landscape for inspiration. The result perfectly combines the simplicity of colour and form without overlooking basic comfort and, indeed, the practicalities of raising a family.

Living Room
You have a comfortably contemporary living room. The danger with the 'modern look' is that it too easily falls into the realm of the bland and insipid; 'easy' gets confused with 'careless' and the result is just downright dull! Perhaps of all the rooms in our homes, the living room can be the one that most expresses your sense of style and your interests. Think, too, about how and when you will most use the room. For example, do you want it light and airy or warm and cosy? Try introducing one or two unexpected elements when choosing your accessories: one of the positives of the modern look is that it is very accommodating. Neutral wall colours provide a calm, easy background, while neutral textiles and soft furnishings never lose their style. Make comfort the priority in your living room: it's where you naturally go to watch TV, relax and de-stress.

Bedroom
Yours is a 'modern master' bedroom. Sleep is fundamentally important to our well being. Clean, fresh air can truly aid sleep, but so, too, does a well-made bed and the best mattress you can afford. Touch is an important issue in the bedroom, from crisp, linen sheets to wool or even sheepskin underfoot. You make quite a statement with clean, strong lines in your bedroom, using earthy, rustic colours and textures to create a sense of harmony with the natural world.

Dining Room
You're a fuss-free entertainer, using good, honest ingredients. At home, natural, earthy colours and textures make dining a sensual occasion that connects the food on the plate back to nature. Eating is not just a basic need but a feast for the senses, and your sensitivity to light, colour, material and texture adds warmth to any environment. With a keen eye for the vernacular, you'll know that furniture and accessories need not have a designer label to give them real value. Indeed, English slipware, for example, has an intimate connection both with the past and with the simple pleasures of good, honest, no-nonsense food. When it comes to entertaining, convenience is paramount.

Home Office
Only you could pull off the "utilitarian chic" look! You've probably got other things on your mind right now, but creating a dedicated space where you can work from home - and keep in touch by email - really does make sense. By using materials such as slate and stone and keeping to a similar palette of colour, you will be able to easily integrate your office space with the rest of your home.

Conclusion
Your home combines the best of old and new, rural and metropolitan, to prove you really can have it all!

Death to the wasps

Seriously, tomorrow is Friday again! That is excellent news. I love Fridays. I love tomorrow-Friday even more because the day after tomorrow we get to go to College Station for the 1st football game of the year & some good times with good friends! I'm so incredibly excited to get out of town with my favorite.

Taylor & I have a problem...a big problem. A wasp problem. THEY WON'T GO AWAY!!!! All summer long we've been held hostage in our house due to those flying monsters. We have a huge beautiful back yard that we didn't even get to spend much time in because of the beasts. Oh and then there was last night...
So we get home from work & our neighbors across the street are out working in their yard. We get out of the car, walk over, and talk to them for about...30 minutes (what can I say? we're all talkers!). Well then the neighbors next door got home. So all of us talked for another... 30 minutes. By this time it was around 7, and my dear husband needed to work on his own lawn. Neighbor from across the street inspiried me to work on our flowerbeds again (you know since the freaking grass likes to grow in them, and I have to pull it out every week). I go change. I come back out, and I'm doing what I do in the flower bed. Then I move over to the bed that is around the tree... I'm pulling out the grass & spraying the weed killer when a HUGE angry wasp comes flying right at my face! I stand up and (not so smart) start power walking away from the scary thing. Oh, then it lands on my head. I thought it was for sure going to sting me! But no, it got bored with me and flew in a straight line for Taylor. Maybe he smelled better? The Mr. managed to get away unstung, but YIKES that was too close for comfort. Oh, we found out why he came at me so angry. There happens to be a GIGANTIC nest in the tree. Lovely. Little do they know that tonight...they die.

Nothing important

My husband has decided he "needs" to grow a beard. I just roll my eyes. His latest thought about this beard? "It MAY be a good luck charm for the Aggies this season". OK, honey, OK.

As quick as Friday came last week Monday came even quicker! This weekend was full of adventures. A trip to the airport started it off bright & early Saturday morning. I love the airport. Even though we were saying "see ya later" (not goodbye. I hate goodbye) to our family, it was still exciting. It was exciting for them. They were off to Canada to get the cousin started at his university. Maybe a bit of a sad time for his parents, but such an exciting time for him!

Sunday was filled with a pool party at our CFO's house. We only have about 8 people in our office so we're quite close. It was a fun time. Definitely nice to relax out by the pool all day long. It was also really nice to be social & such. Taylor seems to think I can be quite anti-social. (not really, he just gives me a hard time because I H.A.T.E. being on the elevator with people I don't know)

My sisters went back to school today. 1 started 10th grade & the other started college. They make me feel old! I'll be really interested to see how things go for both of them. I'm really excited for them!

Now we just have to get to this upcoming weekend! 3 days of no work AND the start of football season! I'm really looking forward to our drive down to College Station on Saturday morning. I'm sure these next few months will be filled with posts about our road trips, football games, and fun time adventures!

Friday & dogs

I cannot believe it's already Friday again! I really cannot believe it's already been a month since Taylor's family got here, and now they're leaving in the morning. Time passes by way too quickly. We had tons of fun while they were here, and I'm excited that his cousin will be going to school in Cananda & can visit more often! I should be getting some pics from our night at dinner at Maggiano's so of course I'll be posting them!

As many of you know, we have 3 crazy dogs. 1 of them, Presley, likes to go on adventures & go explore the neighborhood. Well, I think (fingers crossed) that she's getting out of that phase. Lately, when we let them out in the morning she drinks her water, does her business, and sits at the door waiting for us to let her in. Yesterday after her little routine, she came in and of course immediately jumped on our bed & found her a comfy spot. Taylor started trying to play with her, and well, I guess she was tired because she ran into our closet & this is where we found her...

I'm pretty sure that face says, "WHAT do you want?! I'm trying to sleep here."

I love our dogs! Our house would be so quiet and calm without them! Ha. I really just hope once we have a real baby they'll adjust well. I think Presley will just want to cuddle with it. Maverick will just be quite curious, and Lily will be the one who will be jealous. I guess we shall see when the time comes!

Oh, hair...

Who was I kidding? I gave in & cut my hair! It's now similar to this again (and it feels great!!)...

This & That

Well, I haven't updated since my last rant. Maybe I should go for something a little more up beat, huh? Let's see...

My hair is driving me up a wall. ;) It's a couple inches past my shoulers, and it's hit another awkward stage. I promised Taylor that I would let it grow out just to see how it looks and if I like it then I'll keep it. I am having some second thoughts about that one though! I look at old pics when my hair was a couple inches above my shoulders, and I loved it that way. I have to stay strong though!! It must keep growing. Who knows, once it gets about 3 inches longer I may really like it. Plus, I'd miss my ponytails.

Taylor's family is only here for 2 more weeks...well not even that now! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like they just got here. I wish we could spend more time with them... it's just so hard with the busy schedule of work & such. It's so important to make the most out of the time you have with family!

I just looked outside the window in my office. It looks like storms are headin' in! I really hope so anyway! To me there is nothing more relaxing at work then stormy weather. It seems like it puts everyone in a more carefree mood. Bring on the rain!

We bought our Aggie season tickets!! WHOOP!!! (that was for you TaylorA!) I'm WAY excited. I can't wait to be in College Station for all 7 games. We won't miss one! It's going to be a blast... not only the games, but tailgating with our friends, Northgate, already have plans for lunch with an old friend, and the road trips down there. We're going to have so much fun this fall! I will definitely keep the updates current with all the happenings.

Serious case of the Mondays

Why can't it still be the weekend?! Friday night was an absolute blast! Hard Night's Day put on a great show. After the concert we went to eat at a place on Main St. called The Angry Dog. It was DELISH! Probably the best burger I've ever had. No joke.

I was super excited on Saturday... we finally bought something to go on the wall above our mantle! It looked so naked. Now the room is finally complete! I love decorating. We bought this picture & we got one for our gameroom too. The game room is "lounge-y" themed with a bit of a casino feel. The picture we got is perfect. It's basically of a set of cards and it reads Texas Hold 'Em on the bottom. I'll have to post a pic of that room once we get it all finished!

(the pic was taken with my cell phone before we hung it, and the proportions are off. it's about 30x30)

I'm so excited about the upcoming months! Taylor & I have a lot to look forward to.

SO close to Friday

Two posts in two days? WOW. I'm doing good, huh?

So glad it's almost Friday! This weekend will be another busy one. Tomorrow Taylor & I are going to see a Beatles coverband with my parents down in Deep Ellum. This band is really awesome! They're called Hard Night's Day. They sound almost exactly like The Beatles. I was really impressed the first time we saw them. I'm really looking forward to going again tomorrow night!

Speaking of my family, I really REALLY wish I could see my sisters more often. I was supposed to hang out with Michelle tonight, but with work this week it's just hard to get out on time & get to a good meeting place. It's times like this when I really wish we lived closer to my family. I'd love for my sisters to come spend the night at our house and I know they want to as well, but the next couple of weekends are so jammed packed that we won't really have a chance until mid-August! I feel bad and like I'm not around enough, but sometimes I just can't help it. Life got busy. I guess feeling that way is part of growing up, huh? I just hope they know I want to be around and I do try.

Today I'm counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds until getting to leave work tonight. The quarterly tax filings kicked my butt this time around. It's not hard... just long and tedious. I'm definitely ready get home, change, and go work out. It doesn't matter what time we get home this evening, I have got to go relieve some stress! When it comes to working out, we're really lucky. We have an awesome "walking neighborhood" AND we have a fitness center only a street over from us. Our community has really awesome amenities. We have several pools, several fitness centers, and supposedly somewhere we have bike trails too! I really like that the new housing "master planned communities" (or whatever they're calling them) are like this. It's an added plus for all that money for the house. ;)

Although I really do not know how often this gets read I do want to do a much better job at keeping up with it. I decided to start this for myself really... I enjoy being able to look back at old posts and see what has been going on in life.

My husband has started his own blog! http://musingsbymoose.blogspot.com/ He's incredibly smart and much wittier than I am. You all will find his quite interesting, I'm sure. His is less of a "what is going on in my personal life" and more of "what is going on in the world and what I think of it".

We have been incredibly busy over the past few weeks! It seems like we're go, go, go non-stop. We did get to go to San Antonio for a wedding reception! That was a blast as always. I love that city. I do wish we would have had a chance to go downtown. We haven't been to downtown San Antonio since the night Taylor proposed, and that was almost two years ago! I'd really love to get away for a weekend down there just he & I. Maybe one day soon. :)

My husband's family came in town from Kuwait! I LOVE it when they're in town. Right now it's just his cousin & aunt. His other aunt & uncle will be in within the next couple of weeks. We only get to see them every other year, and I can't believe it's already been that long!

I'm cutting this post off in the middle! I'm at work & I'M SWAMPED!

Saturday, June 28, 2008

I guess Saturday night is my blog night. Well, the past couple of weeks anyway.

Not a lot went on this week... in fact most of it is a blur since I was sick for 3 days. I came down with a fever, body aches, and a stomach thing one day. Who knows... if I'm around anyone who is sick for even .5 seconds, I'll most likely come down with whatever they have.

Providence, a community down the street from us had a firework show tonight and we went to watch it of course. We ended up pretty much right next to where they were shooting them off, and Taylor was oh-so-proud of me. :) (if you don't know, I have this...thing... with loud noises) I'm overcoming it though. I'm hoping we'll go to Kaboomtown in Addison next weekend! However, the ballooon thing...I just don't think there's any hope for that though.

Overdue

I am WAY overdue for a post. It'll be a quickie though.
Vacation was amazing. The week flew by! I'm not sure how time passed so quickly. We would go out to the beach about 11 am & when we looked at the time it was already time to get ready to go out to dinner. Dinner every night was great too! Taylor & I ate so much seafood it's ridiculous. I think we're good on shrimp & crab legs for a while... Who am I kidding? I'm married to the man who can eat seafood 7 nights a week for an endless amount of weeks.

This past week back at work was a beating! Don't get me wrong, I like my job. Really, I do. It was just so hard to get up every morning. I got spoiled while we were on vacation. :) Everyday I would look at the clock and think, "this time last week we we're...". Ah, yes I can't wait until next year!
Anywho... I'm completely aware that it's about 9pm on a Saturday night, and I'm blogging. We're so old. ;) Tonight we went to dinner at like 6 so we could "beat the crowd". Ha ha. How does that happen? Oh well. I like to laugh about it, but I really wouldn't have it any other way! I really do enjoy just relaxing at home with my husband and my dogs. In fact, I think it's movie time! Tonight's feature presentation...something funny!
Here are a few pics from our week in Orange Beach.

Counting down

Just a few more days!

Friday, baby!

A week from today we'll be leaving for vacation! Gosh, I'm so ready. I need this break. Even though this was a short work week, it just wasn't my week. It seems like everyday I got hit left and right with something all day each day. Oh well. Part of life, right?

My sister graduated high school last night! I'm very proud of her. The valedictorian spoke about doing what you want to do with your own life and taking the path less traveled. I thought that was really great. After all, that's what I did. Most people my age have graduated college or will be within the next year. For so long I felt... not inferior...not ashamed...more like "I should have stayed in school". I don't feel like that so much anymore. I did the school thing for two and a half years, and never was I ever great at it. Even after my first semester I was tired of it. So...after 5 semesters I decided to take some time off. End the end, it worked out just fine for me!

Last night I ran into a girl who I graduated with. We were chatting about what we were up to these days. I told her about being married, having a house, and our three dogs (no human kids yet!). Her response was "that's so awesome. It's like a fairy tale!". Well, I don't know so much about it being a fairy tale. We still have our issues...money stress like everyone, a wasp nation in our front tree, one dog who likes to run away just because she's curious, a lawn that really needs to be mowed twice a week because it grows so fast, dinner to be cooked even when we're so tired after work, oh and a ridiculous amount of laundry to do every week. It really is pretty great though.

If you haven't heard "We Weren't Crazy" by Josh Gracin, I highly recommend you do. Now!

Wednesday

Where do I begin? Something about blogging has always seemed calming to me. Maybe I like the journal/diary feeling of it. Maybe I like looking back on things I've done or said. Or maybe I just want others to know how fabulous my life is. Only joking. ;)

Life has been pretty great lately. Our house...well there is nothing in the world to complain about there. I won't lie... houses are expensive, but it's worth it. There really is nothing better than going home to your house (it must be clean, of course). Our dogs are so happy too. It's awesome to see how they've changed and how much they love their backyard... not our backyard, their's. Personally, I think this house was one of the best decisions Taylor & I ever made. We had our families over for Memorial Day. That was a blast. Most of you don't know, but my husband is the best cook on the face of the planet. Really, he is. For our Memorial Day shindig he made brisket, his own bbq sauce, hot dogs, and everyone brought something too. It all was delish. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it, but then again when am I not hungry? :)

Work is... work. Nothing to complain about there either. Sit in my cube, do my stuff, get paid, and I enjoy my co-workers. That's always a plus! It's been a little lonely in the office this week though. My "suite mate" is out of town so it's been a little boring. She'll be back next week, and we leave for vacation the following weekend. There will be lots to catch up on when I return.

Speaking of work... if you do not work with your boyfriend, girlfriend, fiance, husband, wife, or whatever... I highly recommend it. Having Taylor around the office has been amazing. Everyone told us we'd get sick of each other and yada, yada, yada. Well, they were wrong. You know, it works out really well. We ride in together, go our separate ways, see each other MAYBE 3 times throughout the day, and then go home. I'm a busy girl and he's a busy boy. It's so nice. If I am having a bad day all I have to do is call him up, and we'll go take a break and I get a hug to make it all better. It's also great when I need to tell him something important (or not so important, but I just want to share), he's right down the hall! I don't have to sit on hold on the Chili's phone for 15 minutes just for him to be rushed when he finally picks up. Oh, Chili's...

I suppose I should tie up my lose ends before going home.

The countdown to the beach is on!
